Your generosity absolutely floors us!
In just hours, you helped us smash two $10,000 goals. First, we secured the Large Legacy Wall Plaque at the National Naval Aviation Museum. Then, thanks to your incredible support, we also met our second $10,000 goal to install Aircrew wings on the museum building and museum entrance signs alongside the Pilot and NFO wings.
Because of you, our story is now permanently etched into the heart of naval aviation history in Pensacola. That is legendary.

We’ve decided to take it to the next level.

We are preserving our specialized heritage, honoring the memory of our fallen Shipmates, and keeping the SENSO camaraderie alive and well. We’re here to educate the public on the elite AW rating, give back through philanthropy, and — most importantly — reconnect with the finest Aircrewmen to ever fly off a flight deck.
Thanks to your tremendous support, we have now secured the funds for the memorial plaques at the Naval Aircrew School and the AW “A” School in Pensacola. These plaques will stand where new generations of Aircrewmen train every day — right where so many of us began our journeys.
As we prepare for our 2027 Reunion, we still need your help. There are significant expenses involved in putting on a high-quality reunion, and we want to keep the cost per person as reasonable as possible so that every Viking SENSO who wants to attend can be there.
Your continued support will help offset these costs and share the load across our community. Every gift allows us to bring more Shipmates together, strengthen our bonds, and make the 2027 Reunion at a new level to remember.
Whether you supported the museum campaigns or not, this is your chance to keep the momentum going. Every gift matters — no amount is too small, and it’s never too late to stand with your fellow Viking SENSOs.
Together, we continue building a legacy that future generations will see and be inspired by. Thank you for keeping the Viking SENSO spirit strong.

2025 Viking SENSO Reunion

2025 Viking SENSO Reunion

The 2025 Viking SENSO Reunion was an overwhelming success. We went back to North Island, where most passed through Bldg 797 while learning to be a SENSO at VS-41. We held multiple events in and around Naval Air Station North Island, including a Sunday morning group shot at Flag Circle. It was held in San Diego 7-10 August with SENSOs and their significant others traveling from all over the US (and one from Australia) to reconnect, tell sea (air) stories and honor their fallen brothers and sisters. It was truly a joyous event with approximately 125 participants over the four days. Great appreciation for the reunion committee that worked two years to bring this event to fruition: Brett Robinette, Karen Maule, Mark Hall, Don Branagan, Jorge Rodriguez, Scott McCollum, Randy Tyle, Greg Bules and Scott Murdock. Special Thanks to the committee chair Blair Smith for the vision, passion and energy that inspired the committee and ensured the spectacular success of the reunion.

One of the largest and more difficult tasks was chasing down all of the SENSO instructors and making contact with them.  Blair broke out the rolodex and started a spreadsheet with those he had contacted, those where were MIA and those who had passed.  It didn’t take long to see that this wasn’t going to be nine or ten guys getting together for some beers.  The interest was overwhelming so the team put together an ambitious schedule of events that would bring the band together in full force.  When all was said and done, there were almost 100 SENSOs and significant others together in the San Diego area over Memorial Day weekend.  The reconnection with friends past and present was amazing and the recognition of those who had taken their last flight beyond the horizon was heartfelt and touching.
